Request for Proposals (RFP) for:

“Training Consultancy and On-Job training for Three Learn2Work Boot-camps - Gaza Strip 

Mercy Corps is seeking a qualified Contractor to prepare and deliver three Learn2Work boot-camps followed by one week on-the-job training placement for participants during January and March 2014.

In Gaza, Mercy Corps implements the Palestinian Community Assistance Program (PCAP), a multi-sectoral, four year program funded by USAID. Under the economic development pillar of PCAP, Mercy Corps works to prepare youth or underemployed adults to become productive members of the workforce through skills training and professional development.

Objectives: 

The main objective of the activity is to improve ICT business skills and marketplace capacities of ICT and business professionals. This will be accomplished through:

-Short, intensive training program, introducing highly marketable skills and information.

-On-the-job training in relevant companies that will facilitate access to market for trainees by giving them a glimpse of their future careers from inside work places and help them gain confidence and practical workplace skills.

This activity will further contribute to some of the wider Mercy Corps ICT program objectives, including:

-ICT diffusion as a component of economic development and employment growth initiatives.

-Creation of new income opportunities for youth in Gaza Strip. 

Target Group:  

This activity will provide assistance to: 

-Business and ICT students in their final year of studies, recommended by their professors or institutions.

-Recent graduates of Business and ICT degree programs.

Gaza City. Phone No. 08‐2826331. Deadline for receiving the bids is Thursday Nov 14th, 2013 11:00 AM.

Submissions for Gaza bidders should be on hard copies in sealed envelopes and must be delivered to the above mentioned address. Deadline is Tuesday Nov 19th, 2013 12:00 PM. 

A pre Bid-meeting will take place on Thursday Nov, 14th, 2013 11:00 AM at Mercy Corps Office.
